Meet Aya-chan from Kyoto, Japan
Like every doll I create, Aya-
chan
(dear, little) is completely handmade. I sculptured her head, face, hands, and legs with polymer clay and based them on the many Japanese children I have observed and photographed as a helper at a nearby nursery school. Her eyes are hand painted. Her hair is genuine human hair I bought in bulk. Her body is made of resin covered with silk cloth. Her kimono and
obi
sash I designed, cut, and sewed from silk cloth with a cherry blossom pattern. She is wearing a red and white undergarment under her Kimono (see Photos). She comes already mounted on her stand. As I hope my photos of her and her Kimono and undergarment show, she is a one hundred percent authentic Japanese female (as am I!)  I'm sure you will find her a delightful and lifelike companion in your home. But
please
take very good care of her.
I'm sorry, but much as it breaks my heart to see any of my children leave, you cannot return Aya-chan to me.
I also apologize for the high shipping cost. FedEx International Economy rates from Japan are extremely expensive and UPS is even more expensive.
